Nanshan District in Shenzhen is a major economic, technological, and innovation center in China, often referred to as "China's Silicon Valley." It is home to numerous technology giants such as Tencent, Huawei, and ZTE, and boasts innovation hubs like Shenzhen Science Park and the Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base, making it a core area for China's high-tech industry.

With less than one-tenth of Shenzhen's land area, Nanshan District contributes approximately one-quarter of the city's GDP, exceeding 800 billion yuan in 2022, consistently ranking among the top district-level administrative regions in China. Its economic strength and innovation capabilities not only support Shenzhen's development but also play a crucial role in promoting technological innovation and economic growth nationwide, giving it a significant strategic position in China.

In 2024, Nanshan District launched a global logo design competition, receiving widespread acclaim. We participated as expert judges and, at the invitation of the Nanshan District Government and the Shenzhen Industrial Design Association, developed a VIS (Visual Identity System) for the new Nanshan logo, applicable to both the present and the future. This included logo extensions, auxiliary graphics, a flexible layout and typography system, material design, wayfinding design, and art direction.
